Remote Desktop Manager for iOS: Remote Connections and Credential Access on the Go

Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) is a mobile client from Devolutions Inc. for accessing remote connections and stored passwords from an iPhone or iPad. The app is free, falls under the Utilities category, and requires iOS 15.0 or later. The current version is 2026.3.0, and users have rated it 3.8 out of 5 across 101 ratings.

Broad Protocol and Service Support

RDM for iOS supports a wide range of connection types, including Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), VNC, Apple Remote Desktop (ARD), SSH shell and tunnels, Telnet, and file transfer protocols such as FTP, TFTP, SFTP, and SCP. Cloud and web-based options include WebDAV, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox, Azure Blob Storage, Amazon S3, and websites. Server management interfaces such as Dell iDRAC and HP iLO are also included, along with Microsoft RDP Gateway, Active Directory Console, and BeyondTrust Password Safe.

Once configured, connections to servers, virtual machines, and workstations can be launched with a single tap, which makes this protocol range practical for administrators who work across many systems.

Password and Credential Management

Alongside remote connections, the app saves and manages passwords and credentials, drawing from either a centralized database or a local XML file. Credentials entered once can be used to sign in automatically across connections. RDM supports generic credentials and integrates with several third-party password managers, including 1Password, Bitwarden, Dashlane, Keeper, LastPass, One Time Password, Passportal, Password Manager Pro, Passwordstate, Pleasant Password Server, RoboForm, Secret Server, Sticky Password, TeamPass, True Key, and Zoho Vault. Devolutions Cloud and Devolutions Server are also supported as credential sources.

Workspaces and Data Sources

On iOS, RDM works with three workspace types: Devolutions Server, Devolutions Cloud, and local XML files. Connections are organized into workspaces, keeping remote systems and their credentials grouped and available from one app.

Mobile Use and Team Context

The app is built for field use, giving administrators access to their systems and credentials from wherever they are. The iOS interface provides quick access to saved connections. RDM is also available for Windows and Android, and the Android version adds DeX mode support on Samsung devices. Across the product line, team-oriented features such as shared repositories and role-based access controls are offered for organizations that manage remote connections centrally.
